Q: Do I need to come prepared with a scene?

A: No. Scenes are provided in class. Typically scenes are 2-person scenes.

Q: Who will my scene partner be?

A: Other actors/actresses in class.

Q: Is there outside work required?

A: You are welcome to arrange outside work with your scene partner, but this is entirely up to you and not required.

Q: How many times do I work in a class?

A: In addition to warm ups and warm downs, each member works his/her scene every week.

Q: How many actors/actresses in the class?

A: Around 10.

Q. I’m new to acting. Is this ok?

A: Yes.

Q: How many scenes do we work in a month?

A: Depends. Can be 1 for the month, or 4. This is at the discretion of the instructor in collaboration with the actor/actress.

Q: What if I need to miss a class?

A: Please let AFTP know, via email, prior to missing a class so we can make arrangements. Class rates cannot be prorated.

Q: How much is AFTP?

A: $180/month. The studio is month-to-month and we hope you stay with us for a long time.

Q: What genre are the scenes?

A: A mix of genres will be studied; this is at the discretion of the instructor in collaboration with the actor/actress.

Q: May I bring in my own scene to work?

A: Possibly. Please discuss this with your instructor.

Q: Are there performance opportunities at AFTP?

A: Yes. On occasion AFTP will put scenes on stage for an audience. Participation in shows is not required.

AFTP Policies
Harassment of any type (verbal, physical, sexual, etc) is not tolerated and will lead to removal.

Please be on time to class; others depend on you.

AFTP is a month-to-month studio (like a gym membership). Registrations are not transferable. Visitors, pets, food/drink are not permitted in classes. Members must be 18+. Announcements in classes may be done by instructors only. Members are welcome to post items on the Members’ Board at the studio. No photos or recordings in class without express permission. AFTP is an alcohol and drug free environment. AFTP acting classes can be physical; AFTP is not responsible for injuries, damage, or loss. Now that that’s all said, let’s do act!
